Mint: Never worn or used except for possibly trying on. No flaws or wear. NOS
Near Mint: Possibly worn with little to no signs of wear and no flaws. (Note: even new clothing may have minor loose stitching and material flaws not caused from wear, but manufacturing defects)
Excellent: Previously worn or used with no noticeable flaws. May have very minor abrasion or shine on materials prone to it or marks not noticeable except on close inspection. May have minor repairs or stitching to correct a flaw.
Very Good/Great: Previously worn with noted minor flaws not noticeable for wear. Minor abrasions on delicate materials that are hardly noticeable. No Repairs required for wear. Minor shine on certain types of materials prone to it. May simply need a mild laundering to freshen it up.
Good: Minor flaws as noted. Wearable. Minor repairs required. Most items in this category could have snags, loose stitching in quilting, loose or open seams requiring re-stitching, dirt-dinginess-minor stains-tree sap; conditions that normal laundering could fix, usual wear but not worn through, shine on certain types of materials that are prone to it, mild fading.
Fair: Numerous noted flaws, possibly wearable after care or repair. Major stains. Minor wear-through that is patchable. Still wearable-Just doesn’t look so good. What I would call “Garage Clothing” or a "Project Piece" or "Fixer Upper".
Poor: Damage that cannot be repaired. Excessive ripping or cuts. Worn out seams that are not repairable without patching. Major and excessive wear-through. Possible use as study piece or cutter.
Flaws might include spots, stains, holes, tears, fabric irregularities, or problems with buttons, zippers, snaps, etc...
