Our plants are grown under nursery conditions and guaranteed to be free from pest or disease upon delivery. Below is a sequence of photos depicting the long and laborious preparations that our Vetiver plants must undergo before being delivered to you. Vetiver Plants Production Process | | | | Mature field-grown plants are dug out and transported to a staging area near the nursery for processing. | | | | | Clumps are split into individual root segments (slips), and washed to remove all traces of the original soil. After inspection, the slips are individually planted in a sterile mix of peat moss, perlite, vermiculite and fertilizer. | | | | | Plants are grown under nursery conditions until the root ball is ready to be planted successfully. The finished plant is well rooted and hardened and ready for field planting at a new location | | | | | Plants and rooted slips are packed for shipment to commercial contractors and Internet buyers. Plants are shipped using a fast delivery service and are not affected by the transit time. |
