Welcome to the SEW VERY MERRY web site. Let us tell you a little bit about ourselves and our goal for this site. Mary, who is the sole inspiration behind Sew Very Merry, has been sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting and embroidering for most of her life.
She was taught at a young age by her mother and relatives to keep her fingers busy. Over the years she has sewn and repaired many outfits for her kids and others, made many afghans and throws, quilted and embroidered more items than you can count.
She is an experienced seamstress having many hours of training from local fabric shops to classes with Martha Pullen and Jinny Beyer. She has learned many different techniques and tricks of the trade. She is an accomplished quilter both in hand quilting and machine quilting, having taken classes from Jinny Beyer and her staff. She is a licensed instructor in Heirloom sewing for Martha Pullen and has taught classes in basic sewing and quilting.
We started this web site because of her love for fabric and sewing in all of its various forms. Our goal is to provide you a place to find some of the things you need to create your own projects, whether they be that special christening gown with all of its lace and embellishments, or just a simple quilted table runner for everyday use.
We do not carry everything that those large stores do and we will be adding and removing items as they become available or go out of style. As market prices continue to rise we will try and keep our prices as low as possible, we do that to provide good service and quality to you while maintaining reasonable prices. If you have a need for something and are having trouble finding it or just have some questions, please contact us either by E-Mail or even give us a call and we will try our hardest to meet your needs.
May God Bless you in everything you do and may you enjoy the satisfaction of completing whatever projects you set out to accomplish.
