Good smoke.
This pipe is not amazing, nor is it bad. The first bowl burned rather hot. With a little carbon cake and the wood stem protrusion burning away, I expect to get quite a few good smokes out of this. Well worth the money but not "a great pipe." Perfect for out in my shop or to take on the road. |

I feel guilty
My order from Aristocob arrived today via Pony Express and I've been spending the afternoon becoming aquainted with my new best friend, Missouri Pride. I've been smoking Missouri Meerschaum Legend pipes at least since 1979 and a few years ago I was introduced to the Country Gentleman. That pipe has been my fave since I picked it up.
I have always known Missouri Meerschaum made several lines but was never tempted to stray from the faithful Gentleman. Then I found Aristocob...Scott, you make these cobs too available to resist.
The Pride is a fantastic pipe. It's smaller than the Gentleman but still gives a nice 30 minute smoke. And the smoke, let me tell you, was sweet and mild...beautiful. I smoke Sir Walter in my cobs and the Pride made the Sir sing this afternoon!
Maybe it's the natural finish, maybe it's just the quality cob MM uses. I don't know. If it is the nat finish, I can't wait to fire up the Big Mac that came in my order. I'll write about that one after I spend some quality time with it. Scott, I see many Prides in my future, Thanks for Aristocob! |

Missoury Pride corn cob
Best pipe I have ever had. Smoked amazing and better than any briar pipe I've had. Makes everything taste good and its cheap and light and awesome looking! |
